“People today will not arrive to Denali and other parks in Alaska to glance at bumblebees, but they must,” states Jessica Rykken, entomologist for Denali National Park and Maintain. But Alaska’s bumblebees stand out both equally in numbers—“We have, all round, rather small range of bees, but we have a very significant proportion of bumblebees,” states Rykken—and in the explanations for their accomplishment.
